KoOlau Country Club

Even before it officially opened for play in 1993, the Koolau Golf Course already had a reputation as one of the most exacting layouts in the state.  In 1994, the USGA rated it the toughest course in America.  Created by architect Dick Nugent and design consultant Jack Tuthill, Koolau is set amidst lush vegetation at the foot of the Koolau mountains on the windward side of the Pali tunnel.  The Koolau course features deep ravines and requires long carries off the tee.
