Located next to the Ko Olina Golf Club on the Ewa plain is the Kapolei Golf Course, designed by Ted Robinson and opened last year.  Kapolei is part of a hosing development, and its landscape is basically flat and subject to the winds that blow across the Ewa plain.   In 1996, Kapolei hosted the LPGA Cup Noodles Ladies Hawaiian Open.
